'The word 'Kaulupono' means "to grow in a way that is both progressive and still respectful to those who have paved the way before us". A fitting title, as alot of research went into this 3rd project. The group made a spiritual trip to Cape Kumukahi to experience the sunrise, and to Polihale Beach on the island of Kauai to view the sun set over Ni`ihau and Lehua. They recorded those moments and included them on this CD.
